Attendance was great at last night's Bible Study. we have been doing an in depth study on the person/work of Jesus.
The topic was Jesus in reference to sin and sinning. One of the things I drew their attention to was the absence or presence of the definite article before the word for sin [hamartia]. Usually when the definite article appears it is referencing a specific sin [sinful] activity. Without the definite article ['the'][remember there is not an indefinite article in Greek text] it is referring to sin as having the qualities of sin - usually in reference to the "sin nature".
